Data Privacy Consultant

The Data Privacy Consultant is responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with data privacy requirements for our customer. This role serves as a consultant and advisor to business owners, internal/external projects, and stakeholders on data privacy topics. The Data Privacy Consultant works closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local legislation.Job offer information
  • Implement and maintain data privacy requirements for our Customer, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide support and collaborate with the Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Assess IT systems, conduct data privacy impact assessments, and perform balance tests to identify and mitigate potential data privacy risks.
  • Act as a consultant and provide advisory support to business owners, internal/external projects, and stakeholders on data privacy topics, ensuring timely and dequate completion of tasks.
  • Assess projects involving public cloud solutions or the transfer of personal data to third countries from a data privacy perspective.
  • Review and approve data privacy contracts and offerings to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster data privacy awareness and education within the organization.
  • Monitor legislative changes in the field of data protection, interpret legal standards, and provide conceptual and methodological consultancy on data privacy matters.
  • Liaise with external legal service providers on substantial data privacy cases and seek legal assistance when required.
  • Actively identify and mitigate potential legal risks and violations to ensure the Company's transactions comply with corporate laws and regulations.
  • Create and manage systems in line with Group requirements, processes, and local legislation for data privacy and legal matters.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for communication with Group Stakeholders (Global process owners – DTAG), Internal and External auditors, State Authorities, and within the Company regarding data privacy and legal matters.
Personality assumptions and skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GDPR and country-specific data privacy regulations, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data privacy.
  • The ability to execute assigned tasks independently, take initiative, and maintain objectivity and impartiality.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop knowledge and skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to upper and top management.
  • Certification in data privacy (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Master's degree in Information Technologies, Law, Management, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English (required), proficiency in German (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Flexibility to work from home, with the ability to attend meetings in the office (Košice) at least 8 times per month.
