ICT engineer (Database Administration)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful operation of our critical database systems. Your expertise in MariaDB administration, combined with strong Linux and scripting skills, will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrastructure.Job offer information- Plan, install, and administer MariaDB database systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Utilize automation tools (Salt, Rundeck, Ansible) to streamline tasks.
- Participate in on-call duties and maintenance work outside of office hours.
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation.
- Analyze complex database systems and identify root causes of issues.
- Implement effective solutions to prevent future problems.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth system operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support.Personality assumptions and skills
- In-depth knowledge of MariaDB database administration.
- Proficiency in Linux (RedHat) and scripting languages.
- Experience with automation tools (Salt, Rundeck, Ansible).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Several years of experience in database administration.
- Certifications in MariaDB or related technologies (optional).

- Knowledge of other database systems (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL).
