Cisco Energy Management

Wind-turbine-006Today, when Ecology is considered to be one of the main world problems, we welcome any solution which can help to improve its current state. Proper management and reducing consumption of energy within the company not only save money but also help to mitigate climate change and oftencontribute to company’s reputation. With our implementation of Cisco Energy Management technologies we can significantly help you to reduce electricity consumption in your company.

What is Cisco Energy Management?

Cisco Energy Management technologies enable you to measure and manage energy consumption of all devices connected within the company’s structure as well as within datacentre environments. With proper implementation this innovative technology can reduce operational energy costs by up to 35%.

Why invest in energy saving?

Our attitude to energy should be the same as to the purchase of raw materials or workforce management. Reduction in energy consumption and its management using Cisco Energy Management technologies can be essential for organizations
because it helps them to:

  • reduce costs and risks associated with energy price fluctuations,
  • clarify the overall energy consumption of all devices,
  • better control the lifecycle of connected devices,
  • ensure compliance with government regulations (e.g. Energy audit),
  • do the right thing for the environment and the company as a whole.

How does it works?

Cisco Energy Management technologies enable you to measure, regulate and least but not least to control the energy consumption of all devices connected to company’s communication network, regardless of their location. Users of power savers are able to identify which device is connected, where it is connected and when it consumes energy. Within graphic interface the user can view a list of
all devices that are connected, keep track of their location, current fuel  consumption and the history of consumption. You can turn off individual devices when they are inactive on the basis of the created rules. Then monitor the impact of implemented rule on the energy consumption of individual device as well
as how it affected the overall company’s consumption. Implemented rules can be applied to all PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices such as IP phones, cameras or access points for Wireless (Wireless Access Point) and a non-PoE devices such as computers, printers and monitors connected to the company’s network. You can extend the use of Cisco Energy Management technologies also beyond IT network, e.g. to lighting, air conditioning or heating. With energy consumption management not only operational energy costs can be reduced but the implementation of this technology will also increase the efficiency and agility of data centres.
